Chapter 359 - 273: Superpower: Transparent Bubble
Chapter 359 - 273: Superpower: Transparent Bubble
At these words, the passengers immediately quieted down and looked toward Captain Jack, waiting for his next move.
After Captain Jack finished speaking, Lin Li, who had been silent the entire time, immediately sensed the Spiritual Energy Waves emanating from the captain. ’This man has the cultivation of a Second Order High Rank...’
"A bubble?!!!" The passengers watched as Captain Jack extended his right hand. A faint golden Spiritual Light flashed across his palm, and then, a Transparent Bubble the size of a fingernail appeared in it.
After the tiny Transparent Bubble appeared, Captain Jack waved his hand, and it immediately left his palm, slowly drifting toward the sky.
Everyone’s gaze followed the Transparent Bubble as it slowly drifted skyward. Right before their very eyes, they all saw the small, transparent bubble begin to rapidly expand.
Over the next minute, the Transparent Bubble, which had been only the size of a fingernail, transformed into an enormous bubble.
How big was it? Big enough to completely envelop their cruise ship.
"What a huge bubble!" everyone murmured, staring at the large bubble that now enveloped the ship.
What shocked them even more was what happened next. A cheerful Captain Jack announced, "Ladies and gentlemen, our underwater sightseeing tour officially begins now. I hope you all have a wonderful trip."
As soon as he finished speaking, the cruise ship, encased in the large Transparent Bubble, began to slowly sink.
In just a short while, the ship, carrying twenty-five tourists, had sunk beneath the waves and disappeared from the surface.
......
Sunlight penetrated the tranquil seabed, illuminating the rocks, silt, seaweed, and coral below.
From a distance, one could see many sea creatures weaving through the water. This area was their paradise.
Suddenly, a cruise ship encased in a Transparent Bubble sailed in from the distance, slowly approaching the paradise of sea creatures.
When Captain Jack used his Superpower to sink the ship, the passengers were initially dumbfounded by the display.
A few of the more timid girls were worried that the Transparent Bubble enveloping the ship might pop.
However, their attention was soon diverted by Captain Jack’s repeated assurances that his bubble was perfectly sturdy, combined with the beautiful underwater scenery that appeared in the distance.
"That fish looks so aggressive! It won’t stop chasing its companion," a girl said to her friend, pointing at a fierce-looking fish by a distant coral reef.
"It really does. It’s not going to eat that smaller fish, is it?" her friend replied worriedly, her eyes fixed on the fleeing fish.
Just then, a passenger who recognized the type of fish chimed in, "You don’t have to worry. The smaller one won’t be eaten."
"How do you know?"
"I saw a special about this type of fish on an animal channel before.
That fierce-looking fish is actually courting the smaller one, not trying to eat it..."
Captain Jack maneuvered the bubble, steering the ship slowly across the seabed. Once they were above the aquatic paradise, he stopped the vessel and addressed the tourists.
"Alright, we’ve reached our destination for the underwater tour. You can all start taking pictures and videos now. But let me remind you all first, please don’t use flash, okay? It will scare the marine life here..."
The passengers all nodded in agreement. "Okay, Captain Jack."
Lin Li and Su Yue stood at the stern, using their phones to capture the beautiful seascape right before their eyes.
This underwater paradise was bathed in warm seawater, where all sorts of colorful little fish swam among magnificent coral formations.
Strangely shaped shells, cute starfish, transparent jellyfish, and long strands of seaweed danced gracefully in the surging currents, composing a breathtakingly beautiful scene.
After taking a dozen or so photos, Lin Li put his phone away. Su Yue, on the other hand, only grew more enthusiastic, the CLICK-CLICK-CLICK of her phone’s shutter echoing endlessly.
Most of the other passengers were just like Su Yue, completely captivated by the underwater scenery. They were busy taking photos or recording videos, their faces lit up with happy smiles.
’Even though we couldn’t move about freely underwater like the previous tourists, being able to stand on the deck of a ship dozens of meters deep and take pictures so freely is still pretty great...’
Happy times always pass quickly. The passengers, lost in the beauty of the seabed, suddenly heard Captain Jack address them.
"Ladies and gentlemen, our time is about up. This concludes our underwater sightseeing tour. Now, I’m going to bring the ship back to the surface."
"Huh? It’s over already?" the passengers grumbled, feeling like it wasn’t enough. They used the last few moments before the ship surfaced to snap as many more underwater photos as they could.
"CLICK, CLICK, CLICK..."
The sound of phone and camera shutters instantly grew more frantic. A wide smile spread across Captain Jack’s face as he watched the scene.
’Even though I changed the format for this underwater tour, the passengers seem to be enjoying it,’ he thought. ’The outcome is great.’
Just as Captain Jack was about to maneuver the bubble-encased ship back to the surface, a cry of alarm rang out from the bow.
The passengers, still taking pictures, heard the cry and immediately looked toward its source. They saw a young man in his early twenties, clutching a DSLR camera and pointing with a terrified expression at the water in the distance, stammering the same word over and over.
"Sh-shark!!!"
Everyone followed his finger and saw that, at some point, a terrifying creature had appeared in the distant water. It had a gray body, a triangular head, oval eyes, and razor-sharp, triangular teeth—a sight that struck fear into their hearts.
"Holy crap, it really is a shark! It’s huge, at least three meters long!" a passenger exclaimed.
"Oh no, the shark is charging right for us!" a braver passenger, who had been about to snap a picture of it, shouted in a panic when he saw it swimming straight toward their ship.
"That vicious shark is really coming right for us!
What are we going to do? If it rams us and pops the bubble, we’re screwed!"
The few timid girls who had been worried about the bubble’s durability from the very beginning started panicking all over again, afraid the massive shark would pop it.
Lin Li and Su Yue were chatting at the stern when they suddenly heard a commotion from the bow. They immediately rushed over.
Arriving at the bow, they immediately saw the massive, vicious shark swimming rapidly toward the ship.
"Lin Li, that shark looks like it’s heading straight for us. If it pops the bubble, don’t panic.
You know how well I can swim. Getting you back to the surface will be a piece of cake. Just stay still and leave everything to me..."
Su Yue spoke rapidly, grabbing Lin Li’s wrist, ready to pull him to the surface the instant the bubble popped.
Lin Li glanced down at his tightly gripped wrist, then looked up at Su Yue’s pretty face and saw how tense she was.
"Su Yue, come on. Relax, don’t be so nervous. It’ll be fine... Remember when we were on that plane? We ran into that flock of black swans at ten thousand meters up and still made it out unscathed.
Facing this big shark in the water now is a lot safer than facing those black swans ten thousand meters in the air..."
